BentoBag Upcycling

DIY Anleitung

Here I show you how you can easily make your own BentoBag or provision bag.

BentoBags are great for upcycling, as you can replace disposable packaging of any kind with this bag. They also make excellent gift wrapping. Our bags in the shop are from Es war einmal ein Hemd… and thus made from old shirt scraps.

Our goal is to have less plastic in our waters and landfills in exchange for more lush green land and clean oceans for all living things.

Bento bags are great for things that need packaging to transport them. They are ideal for your purchase of grains, pasta, nuts and small produce. Or even as storage for your lunch. You can also use it as a cosmetic, travel or project bag. Especially knitters are crazy about these organizers.

Here you can see step-by-step
how it is done.

Your first step to upcycling BentoBags. In the instructions, the orange side is the outside of the fabric and the dark red is the inside.

Cut fabric into an even rectangle. The width is 3 x the height e.g. 60 cm x 20 cm plus 1 cm seam allowance. So 62 cm x 22 cm.

After cutting
